We have attended:
· The Launch of "No Place for Home"
· Round Table Conference for Park Closures which resulted in the Alliance, along with other Organisations, submitting a paper outlining the problems facing residents when parks close which resulted in the document entitled "Protocol on Park Closures"
In 2006 and 2007 we were invited to speak at Parliament House in Sydney on changes to the Residential Parks Act and how the changes have affected residents.
We have also had input for changes to the Residential Parks Act by way a written submission.
We attend the Residential Parks Consultative Forums, Parks & Village Service Forums and the Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Forums.
We represent and provide written submissions for members appearing in the Tribunal, especially with regard to excessive rent increases and we are very proud of our success rate in these appearances.
We are now on the permanent invitation lists of Government bodies to attend meetings regarding residential park and village living.
